Headaches and desk work, Sarasota chiropractic care

We see headaches that start in the neck. The research on chiropractic for headaches is limited, so we track your headaches and change course if they do not improve.

Which headaches we see

A woman in a knit sweater presses a hand to her forehead with a headache

These headaches start in the neck and travel to the back of the head or behind one eye. We ask about migraine and other headache types, and we refer you to a physician when your history points that way.

On the table and at your desk

Care combines gentle neck and upper back adjustments with soft tissue work. Then we look at your desk, from a photo if you like.

Questions about headaches and desk work

When is a headache an emergency?

Call 911 for a sudden, severe headache unlike any before, a headache with fever and a stiff neck, with confusion, weakness, trouble speaking or vision loss, or after a blow to the head.

How soon will my headaches change?

It varies. We track how often your headaches come and how strong they are, and review that with you after the first few visits. If they do not improve, we change course or refer you.
